This square pays tribute to the spanish poet Rafael Alberti. It was inaugurated by the writer himself in 1989 when he came back for the second time in the village. In 1920, Alberti visited Iznajar and was inspirated with the writing of his book “The Lost Grove” (La Arboleda Perdida), a poem that we can find and read on the tiles Mosaic in the middle of the square. In 2018 the square won the second award of the Patio de la Subbetica Competition.
